Grants Received in 2021

We received two COVID-related grants in early 2021 to support our Dancing Our Prayers programming.

Washington Youth Development Non-Profit Relief Fund from the Washington State Department of Commerce & School’s Out Washington.

The Washington Youth Development Nonprofit Relief Fund was made possible by the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) and is being implemented by the Washington State Department of Commerce and School’s Out Washington. This one-time investment addresses the financial and programmatic challenges that have come with COVID-19 —acknowledging that lost revenue combined with increased expenses to adhere to new safety measures, leave many organizations at risk of closing their programs or sites.

Cook Native American Ministries Foundation Announces 2021 Grantees

CNAMF is pleased to announce the recipients of grant funding that will be used for programs that positively impact and empower Native churches and communities.

Dancing Our Prayers – Engages Native youth and Elders from the Yakama Nation in integrated activities that increase access to and sharing of cultural knowledge, traditions, and spiritual beliefs. In and effort to break down barriers between church and Native America, 15-20 youth travel throughout the year to multi-denominational churches, camps, conferences and community events to share Yakama culture, spirituality, ways of life and with people throughout the country.
