The grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust will support the costs of a program director for the Dancing Our Prayers programs.
The program director’s job description includes: recruiting volunteers and student team members, building the team, developing the program, recruiting churches & conferences for Dancing Our Prayers performances, touring, and managing The Send10 Challenge which supports the program as well.
This person will also help with other Mending Wings programs throughout the year.
The Dancing Our Prayers team consists of drummers and dancers who love sharing their culture and spirituality before audiences in churches and at conferences.
Their purpose is to share their culture and spirituality through dramatic performance, drumming/singing, dancing and sharing their stories of healing. They use Native drums and dress in full regalia.
